There are people with passion helping Baobei Foundation with many things, but I have never experienced so much of it for so long as with the Brazilian group.  These ladies never stop coming up with creative ways to raise money.  They are the ones who donated a grand piano, a treadmill, art work, and many baby related items.  They care for our baobeis weekly at SCMC and in after care.  Last year they hosted a wonderful holiday bazaar that raised 7,000 RMB in one day.  We were so grateful.  The amazing thing is that the same holiday bazaar a year later raised 10X that amount.  Flavia Oliviera, spokesperson from Brazilian group to Baobei, reported today that they raised 70,000 RMB in 4 hours of selling holiday gifts and homemade Brazilian lunch!!!  The beautiful ladies all decked out in Baobei t-shirts (that they had made for themselves) donated 100 % of everything they sold to Baobei.  My note from Flavia reported these huge earnings and then added that they are still selling next weekend at another bazaar to keep the income coming!  They’re an unstoppable force!  Watch out!

We’re so blessed, Brazilian friends!  Thanks for demonstrating your love and concern for our babies with all of your hard work!  I can speak first hand for the overwhelming joy that exudes from these ladies when they gather together for a meaningful purpose.  The enthusiasm (and decibles) 100 Brazilian women can generate was like Disney World on steroids, and look at the result:  enough surgery funds to complete 2 life saving surgeries!  Truly inspirational!  Don’t ever underestimate the power of community working for common good!
