Last weekend, Baobei Foundation was sponsored in two Shanghai sales events.  Peas and Pods, a Shanghai parents/kids group, sponsored a second hand sale where 11,000 RMB was raised in vendor table fees and partial proceeds from vendor sales.  Additionally, Baobei Foundation was able to sell some merchandise at our own booth resulting in 5500 RMB in sales.  It was a thriving sale and a nice donation for our work.  Thanks for supporting us, Peas and Pods, and thanks to the many Baobei volunteers who prepared for the sale and came to sell things last Saturday!  We appreciate ALL of you!!!

Gourmet Cafe also held a “Jumble Sale” last weekend.  Miriam Bray, friend of Baobei and owner of Gourmet Cafe (with her husband), has been wanting to help our children for some time and came up with the idea to ask her friends to donate designer label clothing for resale with all proceeds going to Baobei Foundation.  She’s still busy tallying up the total and getting others to match the funds, but we’re grateful for all of her work and care for our baobeis!  Lily, an adopted baobei and fashion lover herself, attended the event to demonstrate the successes of pediatric neurosurgery done at SCMC.
