Poem for Haley

Katie, who is Haley’s “sister” at the healing home, wrote this poem at Haley’s 1-month-old celebration. Isn’t it such a beautiful poem? Thank you Katie!! Good job!

Haley”

Sleep little Haley, my little lamb;
Rest your little soul, little dainty ma’am.
Tomorrow you can play, please don’t kick a fuss.
Sleep little Haley, like all good babies must.

Drink little Haley, milk and cream we bring;
Finish the little bottle, then later we can sing
Of God’s goodness and His love, His grace and patience too,
But drink now little Haley, like all babies should do.

Hush little Haley, o little crying baby
And accept our kisses being rained on you daily.
Stop your crying baby, and listen to our implores
Begging you to stop, before you break our hearts some more.

Smile little Haley, our little dear sunshine
And show your little dimples impressed on either side.
Show your little smile, we’re coaxing you now
And please don’t tell us, that you don’t know how.

What is Spina Bifida? Who is Dr Bao?

I think this video can answer these questions best. It will give you an insight about what Baobei Foundation is dealing with and why we chose to work with Dr Bao and Shanghai Children’s Medical Center. Enjoy the video!

Precious

Mandy is the new born we recently sent to Shanghai for her spina bifida removal surgery. Today I received an some gorgeous photos on this precious one along with some cute info written by Jessica Ling (our medical manager):

“She likes to be held. She has bright eyes and will look at you when you are talking to her. She makes some baby talk, just like she can understand you!! Her neck is strong. She can turn her face from one side to other side by herself when lying on her tummy. she is not fussy, only cries when she is hungry or wants to be held. When she cries,her voice just like a little cute donkey!! LOL!!”
