Baobei's Leadership Team

Emily Sullivan - Medical Director
Emily, also known as Ting Ting, is originally from Guangdong Province of China but is presently living in Wisconsin
Having previously co-founded a US-based charity for Chinese orphans, Emily has had over 6 years' experience in dealing with the medical requirements of Chinese orphans prior to her co-founding Baobei.
In addition to collaborating with orphanages and doctors at Shanghai Children's Medical Center (SCMC), she is responsible for advocating for the children from the time they enter the hospital until complete healing has occurred. This includes constant communication with the hospital staff to ensure the children’s surgeries are scheduled as needed and continued communication with the Child Care Director to recommend the best environment for post-operative care. Emily also does a wonderful job of writing up the babies' stories, keeping the Baobei Foundation Facebook page updated and providing the donors with news on the babies.
Emily is constantly amazed by the commitment and expertise of the doctors at SCMC and the passion of Baobei’s volunteers. She has seen first hand the enormous difference this makes to the precious lives of Chinese orphans with neurological and gastrointestinal disorders.
For Emily, this quote represents her feelings about her work at Baobei:
"To the world we are one person, but to one person we could mean the world."
